Everyone is invited to enjoy education stations, guest speakers and guided tours through the facility and trails to celebrate the grand opening of the long-awaited Lick Creek Nature Center on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m.-noon. This free event will begin with a welcome ceremony and ribbon cutting. Guided tours will take place every half hour starting at 9:30 a.m. Dogs are welcome on a leash, but horses and bikes are not permitted. Light refreshments will be served.
This 2,400-square-foot nature center features a meeting room, restrooms, indoor and outdoor classrooms, and an amphitheater available to rent for receptions, classes, meetings and more.
