West 31st St Murals Art Project Launched in Downtown Bryan

The Downtown Bryan Association has partnered with Carini Townhomes and Renovation Wranglers to launch a public art project. The West 31st St. Murals, made possible by Conlee-Garrett Moving & Storage, will use visual arts to celebrate Bryan’s rich history.


“Since Downtown Bryan is a recognized Texas Cultural District, we think the murals are an ideal project in line with our efforts to showcase the cultural assets we already have in place,” said Sandy Farris, executive director of the Downtown Bryan Association.
The initiative includes installing up to five murals along the north facing wall of Conlee-Garrett Moving and Storage at 600 S. Bryan St. A natural canvas with its divided concrete wall panels, the site faces W. 31st St. and will host up to five murals.

Artists are encouraged to submit ideas which celebrate the city’s past or present, showcasing commerce, culture, and community. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on…
