Public Meeting on Federal Community Development Grants Set for March 7

13925226_10154255527843046_8404766591026608428_nCitizens are encouraged to participate in a public hearing on Tuesday, March 7 about the City of College Station’s proposed uses for federal community development grants in 2017-18.
The hearing will be at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Recreation Center, which is located at 1000 Eleanor St.
The city’s Community Services Department will give a presentation about the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Grant programs, along with the Fair Housing Plan.
Federal guidelines require that the funds benefit low- to moderate-income individuals, eliminate slums or blight, or meet an urgent community need.
