I went on another trip! This time I went to South America, to Argentina and Chile via the #9 Flight: Way South of the Border wine trio at Downtown Uncorked.
I got to sit in a very comfortable arm chair and nosh on a various cheeses, Genoa salami, green apple and warm, crusty bread plate while I enjoyed my brief vacation. My waitperson was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The #9 Flight featured 1/2 glasses of a luscious Syrah and a soft Malbec, both from Argentina and a spicy Carmenère from Chile. Afterwards I had a sweet red velvet cupcake and a smooth coffee. Look at that presentation – I almost didn’t want to disturb it. But I did.
I also signed up for their Wine Tasting with a Level 2 wine sommelier on September 25th from 3:00-5:00 pm. Just $20.00.
It feels like a luxury private club inside, but you can also sit outside and enjoy the lovely night air.
It’s amazing how easy it is to experience another country right here in the Bryan/College Station environs. Boldly go and experience new tastes.
