TAMU Student Housing Growth Strong, Steady

Over the past twelve years the enrollment at Texas A & M University has grown every year. To try to keep pace with the increased number of students, there has been a number of student housing new construction projects in College Station. Since August 2013, seven new apartment complexes have opened with two more scheduled to open in the Fall of 2017.

The Rise at Northgate we saw open in August 2013, the first student housing high rise in the Northgate area. It features one to six bedroom units, split level penthouses and many amenities including a rooftop pool. riseatnorthgate.com

In August 2014 U Centre at Northgate construction finished and began leasing to students. The U Centre is also a gated community, featuring four bedroom apartment or townhome style units. americancampus.com

Northpoint Crossing opened in two phases, Phase I in August 2014 and Phase II in August 2015. Northpoint Crossing leases one to four bedroom units, has two swimming pools and retail space on the first level of the complex. northpoint-crossing.com

Four new student housing complexes finished construction in time for the Fall 2015 semester. White Creek Apartments are located on the Texas A & M campus. They offer one to four bedroom apartments that come fully furnished and include all utilities. tamu.edu

The Domain at Northgate, which is walking distance to the campus, began leasing its one to four bedroom units in August of 2015. They feature full size kitchens, free internet and flat screen tvs in every unit. domainatnorthgate.com

Less than a mile down the road, The Stack at Legacy Point opened their one to four bedroom units in the Fall semester also. They offer three study areas on every floor and outdoor features such as a pool, hanging cabanas, outdoor living areas with tvs, and even a ping pong table. stackstudentliving.com

The Revelry, just over two miles from campus, offers three and four bedroom townhomes with two car attached garages and yard. revelrytownhomes.com

Construction is under way on the remaining two housing projects. The largest undertaking, Park West, will feature 3,410 beds. They will offer one to four bedroom studio, apartment, townhome and garden style units spread out over three different buildings. Park West plans to offer three pools, ample green space and many outdoor amenities. pgal.com

Sterling Northgate plans to begin leasing in August of 2017. This property will feature one to five bedroom floor plan units. The highlight of the building will be a rooftop pool that overlooks the A & M campus and Kyle Field. sterlinghousing.com

These housing projects, along with construction of smaller multi-family developments and houses, continue to add to housing capacity to keep up with Bryan-College Station’s growing housing demand precipitated by growth in both the university and business communities.
